Microsoft Azure Fundamentals (AZ-900T00)

This course is intended for IT professionals new to Microsoft Azure, including those preparing to pursue a role-based Azure certification, as well as professionals in adjacent roles — such as project management or procurement — who need a working understanding of Azure to collaborate with technical teams.

By the end of this course, students will be able to:

• Explain core Azure concepts and terminology, including how Azure organizes resources, subscriptions, and services, providing a shared vocabulary for working with technical teams and documentation
• Navigate the Azure portal and command line interface to view and manage resources, without requiring prior scripting experience
• Describe Azure's approach to management and governance, including how organizations control cost, access, and compliance across their Azure environment
• Identify which role-based Azure path is the right next step, whether that is Azure Administrator, Azure Security, or another specialization, based on an accurate understanding of how Azure is structured
• Prepare for the AZ-900 exam, with course content mapped directly to the official exam objectives

No prior Azure or scripting experience is required. This course is designed as a starting point for IT professionals who are new to Azure.

Cloud fundamentals courses are one of the areas where self-paced video training most often produces passive familiarity rather than working knowledge — students can recognize terms without being able to apply them. The hands-on labs in this course are most effective with an instructor present, since a portal behaving unexpectedly, a permissions issue, or a governance concept that does not quite make sense are all resolved on the spot rather than becoming a reason to pause and search for answers independently.

Students also retain up to one year of access to a recording of the session and six months of post-class instructor support, which is particularly useful when applying these concepts in a real Azure environment for the first time after the course ends.
